In Fabric 4–14 November
The first display features the cursed red dress worn by the brilliant Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Secrets and Lies) in Peter Strickland’s In Fabric, a macabre, erotic and funny phantasmagoria which follows the misfortunes of customers who come into contact with the dress at an eerie department store.
For those that haven’t seen the film or would like to see it again, In Fabric is currently available on Google Play.
Free Fire 16–30 November
In Ben Wheatley’s 2016 action-comedy, a meeting between rival gangs in a Boston warehouse in 1978 turns into a deadly shootout. Shot on location in a former Argus printworks in Hollingbury and steeped in 1970s Americana, the costumes on display were designed by Emma Fryer and worn by Justine (Brie Larson), Ord (Armie Hammer) and Stevo (Sam Riley).
Free Fire is currently available on BFI Player.
