CINECITY is back for 2020

Brighton’s film festival will return this November for our 18th edition.

CINECITY is one of the UK’s key regional film festivals and we have presented an annual edition each year since 2003.

It has of course been a time of both great change and uncertainty for everybody – it seems a lifetime ago that we opened CINECITY 2019 with The Lighthouse and brought to audiences in Brighton and Lewes, special previews of Portrait of a Lady on Fire, And Then We Danced, Days of the Bagnold Summer, Rocks, Knives Out, The Nightingale and many more.

Working closely with our partners, we have decided to go ahead with our 18th edition this November. At the time of writing we are planning a hybrid festival of both online and physical screenings that will take audiences on adventures in World Cinema, celebrate ‘coming of age’ and give a platform to our regional film-makers including younger, emerging talents.

Please sign up for the newsletter and check our social media for the latest information as the festival takes shape.
