36-hour Film Challenge 2024

How long does it take to make a film? Weeks? Months? Years? What happens when you have 36 hours? That’s the challenge for students from the Faculty of Media, Arts and Humanities at the University of Sussex.

Launching on Saturday 9 November, students will be given a prop, a location and a mystery parameter and have 36 hours to make a four-minute film. All the finished films will be screened to a public audience and judging panel.

With up to £1,000 worth of prize money, this is a 36-hour filmmaking challenge designed to test students’ ingenuity and endurance!
